1483-1499 During the late XVth century, the most remarkable event is the historical alliance between the two major powers of the world: China and Mongolia. After centuries of pillage, raids and wars between them, both empires agree to cooperate, guarantee mutual borders and to expand elsewhere. As it couldn’t be in other way, this alliance has been contested internally in both nations, but, so far, emperors have managed to keep internal differences under control. Thus, while Mongolia extends Siberia and cooperates with Herat, Tibet and Kashmir to defeat Samarkand; China expands dominions on south and conquers Dia Vet and some scattered islands on east asian seas, and also extends her alliance to Jurchen, Korea and, on a first moment, to Japan. The main beneficiary of this peaceful coexistence has been the Kingdom of Jurchen, which having secured her frontiers, has devoted most of her resources to research for new technologies with a tremendous success while expands dominions through siberian wild lands. At this stage, Jurchen has become the most advanced nation in the world, sponsoring sciences and arts and has reached a good reputation in east asia, attracting the most prominent figures of all disciplines. Results are spectacular. New skills and engineering methods, medicines, and goods of all kinds made of new materials are dispatched to whole world through the most extensive trade net, replacing the tradicional role of China on this field. This peaceful period, however, ends when, after some disagreements, China, Korea and Jurchen invade Japan at 1499 with success. If this is a sign of that peace on east asia is gone forever or not, is something to be seen in coming years. In the rest of Asia, Samarkand has been almost defeated by a coalition of four nations after ten years of war, and Thai Empire is born after the marriage of Siam and Khemer's royal families. The conflict that started on 1497 between Tibet and Dehli, two important regional powers, is still local, but also has all ingredients to quickly extend to surrounding nations.Uzbek, on the contrary, expands into Europe and joins an antinature coalition with muslims of Kazan and Golden Horde and christian nations of Teutonic Order and Poland to defeat Muscovy, the last keep of byzantine church in whole world, with a great success. Principality of Muscovy is now a part of history. Sweden also intended of joining this coalition but was driven apart after a revolt broke on her nation at 1486, to give birth to Kingdom of Finland, that managed to survive so far, although her attack on Uzbek, has focused coalition’s eyes into her. Regency of Sweden, unstable after revolt, finally joins nation with German Empire, making germans the most powerful nation in Europe and leader of ECON, an european alliance, created to face expansionism of GATOR, euro-african alliance that spread through Spain. Most of northern africa is peacefully united under GATOR flag. Non aligned nations and berber tribes are succesfully driven out, and Kanem shows as the most dynamic member of coalition, expanding through Sahara desert and conquering the Kingdom of Nubia. In southern Africa, bilateral conflicts spread like powder and lead region to chaos, although a coalition of four nations: Mthethwa, Manikongo, Bushmen and Sofala is taking control of situation. But a new threat to coalition arises after GATOR's attack on Manikongo, stopped for now by resistance in Kinshaha and a revolt in Benin. Finally, America still remains out of world affairs. Inca Empire is the widest of whole continent and progresses to new knowledges, although in Central America Tarson Empire seems soon to end Aztecs conquest and become a regional power. But, the most important event for America is Inuit expansion through asian Northeast, crossing Bering strait, that has brought Inuit directly in touch with the Kingdom of Jurchen, the most advanced nation so far. In an exchange of land per knowledge, Inuit retreat from Asia while start to assimilate the new wonders of technology from asian counterparts. Information is a two ways road, however, and now east asian nations know of the existence of wide and wild lands at the other side of Bering strait, although exact size is unknown even for those who live in. 1500-1525 For any colaboration, question or comment, please contact me at jala@canariastelecom.comJose Leon |
